Rivers, Oceans & Waves

In Y2 we have continued our topic on 'Rivers, Oceans and Waves' and looked at the art work of Claude Monet who painted waves. We practiced different paint brush strokes and how different amounts off water affects water colours. We had so much fun!

Darnall & Sheffield

In Y4 we looked at why Darnall and Sheffield were integral parts in the advancement of steel production. Did you know our closest mine was in Handsworth? The coal was used for the fires to melt the iron.

They made adverts to lure new business people to bring their business to Sheffield, reminding them of our local coal, access to rivers and technological advances.
