Our Opal Play project is proving very successful with our children during lunch times. With help from our parents and carers we would like to make it even more successful. We are asking for donations, each week we will suggest a different item. This week we would like any plastic bowls, colanders and saucepans that you may have stored away that you do not use anymore please.

Many thanks for your continued support

World Book Day 2025

๐Ÿ“–๐ŸฅณWorld Book Day 2025๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿฅณ

We have had a great day immersing ourselves in the amazing world of literature today!

Children took part in live reading events with authors, university students visited school, and read stories to children in Danish, Korean and Japanese, and parents and carers also came into school this afternoon for a fun filled afternoon of reading with their children๐Ÿ˜€

Careers Advisor Visit

๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€Careers Advisor Visit ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you so much to Sheffield Springs Academy for sending their careers advisor to do a session with Y4 on Tuesday.

Students learned about different jobs, careers, pathways and how lots of companies help young people find the training and future opportunities for them. It was very inspiring!

Grimm & Co

๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽญ Grimm & Co ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽญ

A massive thank you to Grimm & Co for their first session with us this week. Working with Y4, they will be here with their Everywhereporium for 4 weeks to generate exciting writing ideas. Students have some drama time, handled trinkets, read together and performed to one another. They have worked in groups on adjectives and imperative verbs already, as well as getting their creative juices flowing. See you next week, Grimm & Co!
