World Book Day 2025

We have had a great day immersing ourselves in the amazing world of literature today!

Children took part in live reading events with authors, university students visited school, and read stories to children in Danish, Korean and Japanese, and parents and carers also came into school this afternoon for a fun filled afternoon of reading with their children

Y6 Enterprise Day

We have a very exciting opportunity for you! On Friday 21st March 2025, Matt Stewart from Entrepreneur Me is visiting High Hazels Academy to run an ‘Enterprise Day’ with our Y6 pupils. This is going to be a fantastic day for everyone!

Matt has created a short video inviting any parents/friends/family members, who are currently in employment, to volunteer their time to help the Y6s with their challenge for the day.

Our Opal Play project is proving very successful with our children during lunch times. With help from our parents and carers we would like to make it even more successful. We are asking for donations, each week we will suggest a different item. This week we would like any buggies/prams that you may have stored away that you do not use anymore.

High Hazels Herald - 3rd March 2025

As part of our music and science curriculum Y5 children will attend a morning performance of ‘The Halle Orchestra’ on Friday 7th March 2025.

The performance is part of a Sheffield Music Hub initiative, and it is a fantastic opportunity for your child to learn new skills, hear a professional orchestra and sing with children from other schools. As we will not return to school in time for lunch, we ask that you provide a packed lunch. Children will be back at school for normal hometime collection.

For our families who will observe the start of Ramadan this evening or tomorrow evening, may this Ramadan bring you peace, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment. Ramadan Mubarak
